- The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the inflation rate, interest rate of Bank Indonesia, East Java GDP to investment and trade sectors of the manufacturing industry investment in eastern Java in the period 1994 to 2008. So that it can be seen that the most dominant factor in influencing the growth of trade and investment sector investment manufacturing sector in eastern Java either collectively or partially, which in turn can also determine what policies should be carried out by the local government of East Java and its investors to increase investment and expand trade and manufacturing industries in east Java with consideration of the above variables. The research methodology used in this study is the econometric approach. The model used in this research is to use a multiple linear regression model assuming BLUE (Best Linear Unbiased Estimate). The intended use of the model is to look at the long-term effects of each independent variable on the dependent variable. Results of this study are expected to reach a conclusion for each variable has a different effect, either partially or in aggregate.
