- Rapid Technology developments has made a positive contribution in all areas, especially in business. Management information system based on information technology has been implemented by many services companies and manufacturing. Technology enabled information used to further facilitate and automate the data and information that can be integrated directly on any part of the company's management. PT. Asuransi Tri Pakarta is a company engaged in general insurance services. In the operations of PT. Asuransi Tri Pakarta implement CGISS application or Care General Insurance System Solution. CGISS application is an application form ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) or back office sistem to manage general insurance business. By using the application CGISS, activity input-output processing in the field of marketing, underwriting, claim, and non-tehnic can be integrated and structure. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of management information system based on the application CGISS PT. Insurance Tri Pakarta branch kusuma bangsa Surabaya. Management information system based CGISS application effective if it meets the criteria of effectiveness. The criteria can be judged from the variable relevance, timeliness, security, accuracy, and ease of use. This study uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative research (Mixed Methods) with descriptive type. Assessment and analysis of the object involve techniques questionnaire and interview will be combined and compared as well concluded the similarities and differences between these two techniques. The effectiveness of management information system-based applications CGISS measured using five variables. From both the results of the analysis of the effectiveness of management information system based on variable relevance CGISS applications, data security, accuracy included in the category of very effective. At the second time variable analysis results are included in the effective category. While the variables and the overall ease of variables, the results of both analyzes showed differences efektivias category, where the results of a quantitative analysis on the variables and variable overall ease of categories showed very effective while the results of the qualitative analysis showed Effective category.
