- The purpose of this study is to reveal the objectivity of news written by citizen journalists on kompasiana.com in certain chosen period. The operational definition is one of concept of research variable determinations that can be explained by research variable indicators by categorising news based on related theory. This study applies the methodology of qualitative content analysis. This methodology is used to analyse the content of objectivity of news politics on kompasiana.com produced by citizen journalists. Based on the 24 news period May 27th to June 2nd 2013, the writer did not find any one of those news was objective. According to this explanation, it could be concluded that the news that were produced by citizen journalists on kompasiana.com were not still objective. The objectivity is the most important thing in news because the news which is not produced objectively, it can cause many interpretations and unbalances. It means that the news which is delivered is not pure or prefers to certain party. Key terms: the objectivity, citizen journalists, kompasiana
