- This research based on the phenomena of that the bribery case traveler's checks for winning the election of Miranda Swaray Goeltom Senior Governor of Bank Indonesia in 2004 which has a lot to drag the name of famous politicians. This case started rolling since 2008. The method used to determine the meanings is to use a semiotic analysis included descriptive qualitative research. Here using the theory of semiotics Charles Sanders Peirce, who divides signs into three categories: icon, index and symbol. The results of this research, according to researchers, the efforts of Miranda to protect the crime of others to cover up his role in the case of traveler's checks. However, any steps taken, giving rise to suspicion that led to the position of being cornered in the case of Miranda's checks.
