- Composting is one alternative in the processing of waste. In this study use the of organic waste from the campus of UPN "Veteran" East Java. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding cow dung (KS) in the process of composting organic waste from campus UPN "Veteran" East Java is aerobically and effectively determine the composition of the mixture is needed in the composting process than without the addition of bioactivator with variations of aeration. The results of the optimization made composting organic fertilizer granules with the variation of adhesive Material of yard waste that composted is24 Kg (SK), while the materials are added to the cow dung (KS) with a variation of 2.20 Kg: 5.49 Kg: 8.23 kg compared with no addition of a mixture (bioactivator) as well as variations in aeration, namely conventional and air injection aeration. From research conducted, garden waste have Carbon content (C-Organic) 31.17%, 1.08% total nitrogen and ratio of C/N 17. Composting garden waste is added to the recommended optimum cow manure according the criteria of the ISO :19- 7030-2004 to conventional methods with addition of 5.49 kg of KS, whereas injection with the addition of aeration to 8.23 Kg KS. Composting requires 28 days. Composition of the compost product quality conventional aeration contains 28.02% C; 2.62% N; 0.577% P; 2.14% K, and the ratio C / N 11. As for the method of aeration air injection containing 26.91% C; 2.18% N; 0.526% P; 2.05% K, and the ratio C/N 12 Optimum results from the decomposition of organic fertilizer granules have made reference to regulation of agriculture minister RI No.2 / PERT / HK.060/2/2006 which showed the best results of conventional aeration composting using clay adhesive containing nutrient 12.97% C; 1:08% N: 1.21% P; 1.35% K, and the ratio C / N 12 , while the strength test results show the value of 137.49 kPa, it is recommended as a soil conditioner
