- The characteristic of the traffic flow could be examined and analysis with many methods. In this research one of the methods that can be used is an Underwood Methods which complaint that the mathematical relationships between traffic flow and density of vehicle have a form like a logaritmik function. Base on result from the observation and calculation of traffic flow at the street Rungkut Asri in Surabaya town, and use of statement correlation of Underwood Methods and graphic manipulation with Linier Regression , getting a point of Sff ( velocity from low density) is a 85,357 km/hr and the point of Dm ( the highest density) is a 66,67 (smp/hr). The reach of maximum of traffic volume it’s from condition of density = 33,335 smp/km which has move with speed S= 43,678 km/hr. Mathematical modelling can be manipulated as follow : Ln.S = 4,47 - ,015D ; V = 87,357 D.e(-0,015D) ; V = 447 S – 66,67 S.LnS
