One solution is to use XML (extensible markup language)—hased GML (Geographic markup language) pioneered by OpenGis consorcium GML separates geographic content with its presentation. A map generated using GML need a GML data transformation to readable form the software. SVG (Sealable vector graphics) is a part of XML providing 2-dimensional graphic used in GML data presentation XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language for transformation) is an XML-based document to transform GML data into SVG graphical elements. This application is implemented in web environtment using java and javaserver pages. Evaluation showed that SVG documents generated from this data transformation and shapefile conversion application had considerable high detail and almost identical to ESRL are view results.
