- Tourism development has strong multiplier effects towards other sectors. Thus, it is more likely that the result of it, whether it is good or bad, is very complex, That is the very reason that this research is conducted. The purposes of this research are to: 1). Find out the perception of the agraris people toward the Mount Kelud’s tourism development; 2). Analyze the effect of the tourism development toward the local’ economic condition, and; 3). Analyze the effect of Mount Kelud’s tourism development towards social and •Vcufruml aspects of the local agraris people. This research concludes that; 1). The perception of the agraris people in Sugihwaras village toward Mount Kelud’d tourism development in general was positive. They are consent to the socialization and the type of the development; 2). From the economical aspect, Mount KeIuds tourim development had signifIcant effects toward the type of jobs, the locals’ income, and the land price in Sugihwaras
