  • The background of this research is related to the importance of instilling religious values in students who are in muslim minority neighborhoods. There is concern from the PAI teacher at SMP Negeri 4 Kabanjahe because the student is still quite far from the figure of a good Muslim. Suchas not understanding the study and not even knowing the hijaiyah letters, many have not worn the hijab and others. So this is also related to the process of moral formation and the impact of moral formation by activating mushola for religious activities at SMP Negeri 4 Kabanjahe. Theuniqueness of this study that made the researcher interested was that from the four state schools in Kabanjahe sub-district, only SMP Negeri 4 whose religious activities were quite active Although the school is fairly new and is in the midst of a majority nonmuslim community. This type of research is qualitative research with a psychological approach, methods in data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is used by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Data validity tests are performed by triangulating data sources and techniques. The results showed that Pertama, the process of instilling religious values in shaping student morals at SMP Negeri 4 Kabanjahe was carried out through the following religious activities (1) smile, say hello to greetings, (2) Shulat duha together, (3) Sharing Friday, (4) Friday Blessings, (5) Reading the Quran, (6) Mutual Cooperation, (7) Practice of Corpse Prayer, (8) Halal bihalal. Second, the religious values instilled from religious activities, namely Islamic worship, worship because of Allah Swt. adding insight into religion, religious experience and from these values has succeeded in shaping the morals of students at SMP Negeri 4 Kabanjahe. The morals that are formed are morals to Allah Swt and morals to the sesame creatures of Allah. Third, there are obstacles faced in the process of instilling religious values in shaping student morals, namely in facilities, laziness and the environment.
