  • Due to changes in bank mergers, Bank Syariah Indonesia has challenges in strengthening Human Resources (HR) and strengthening digital technology, so employees need to be proactive, passionate, enthusiastic, and having work engagement. This study aimed to determine the relationship between grit and work engagement of Bank Syariah Indonesia employees moderated by social support. The subjects of this study amounted to 340 employees of Bank Syariah Indonesia spread throughout Indonesia. This study was using quantitative methods with a sampling technique that is accidental sampling. Research data collection was carried out using the grit scale and work engagement scale. Data analysis in this study used simple regression analysis technique and moderated regression analysis technique with absolute difference test method and subgroup analysis. The results of this study showed that there was positive relationship between grit and work engagement moderated by social support with a significance level of absolute difference variable of 0.000 (p <0.05) and there was strong correlation between grit and work engagement of a group whose get social support from family and coworkers.
