- This reaserch is taking the subject of make up and skin care, with title the ruling of make up and skin care for men and the viewpoint of Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga lecturer alumni of the Middle East and western Unversity. This theme is taken in consideration by increasing sales and use of cosmetics among men, as well as the community's view that cosmetics are synonymous with women, as are the numerous ustadz linked taking care of skin and beautyfication with tasyabuh. As for the research type that i used were field research, from the lecturer of UIN Sunan Kalijaga's opinion, and library supported data that would take books, journals and other research on make up and skin care. The research approach to use is intra dicipline and multi disciplines, with maqashid syariah theory and changging mind theory, in order to achieve more comprehensive results, as the writers have not only collected opinions of professors and literature of Islamic law, but rather researchers are gathering the sources of such disciplines as history, medicine, anatomy, formulation, socio anthropology and other sciences. The results of this study point a difference of opinion from professor UIN Sunan Kalijaga, as well as the reason for the dissent, and the basis of the law, in the ruling of men wearing make up and skin care.
