- Problems of development in Indonesia is poverty which is still high. The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has a poverty rate(HCI) above the national’s poverty rate with the largest number of HCI in Bantul Regency. The method used in this study is the panel data regression with a timeframe of 2010-2020 and involves five districts/cities in the DIY province. The results showed that the variables HDI, unemployment rate, gini ratio and minimum wages were able to explain the variable number of poor people by 99.49%. Partially, the HDI variable has no effect on poverty. Minimum wages variable has a significant negative effect on poverty. Meanwhile, unemployment rate and gini ratio have a significant positive effect on poverty in the DIY Province
