  • Career decision-making difficult is one of the things that can be experienced by final students and can be motivated by several factors. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental expectations and self-efficacy with career decision-making difficulties. The subjects in this study amounted to 269 students at the end of the fourth and fifth years at the State Universities of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, which was taken using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using the Career Decision-Making Difficulties Scale which has an alpha coefficient value of (25 item, α = 0.913), Parental Expectation Scale which has an alpha coefficient value of (35 item, α = 0.917), and the Self-Efficacy Scale which has an alpha coefficient value of (29 item, α = 0.932). The analysis technique uses multiple regression. The results of the analysis show that: 1) there is a relationship between parental expectations and self-efficacy with difficulty in making career decisions in final students with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and an effective contribution of 53.7%. 2) there is a positive relationship between parental expectations and difficulty in making career decisions with an effective contribution of 4.2%, and 3) there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and difficulty in making career decisions with an effective contribution of 49.5%.
