  • This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the inequality of income distribution in districts/cities in East Java Province during the period 2016-2020. The data used is secondary data taken from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The variables used in this study include income inequality as the dependent variable and independent variables include: PDRB, human development index, crime rate, and population. The data analysis method used in this study is linear regression of panel data using Eviews 10 software. The results of the analysis generally show that GDP per capita , HDI, and population have a significant effect on income inequality, while the crime rate does not have a significant effect on income inequality in the district/city in East Java Province.
