- Adolescent life is one of the unique periodic stages in human psychological development, including development and social life. Adolescence causes fundamental changes along with the tasks that must be fulfilled. Adolescence can also be said as a period in which a person transitions from childhood to adulthood, this is marked by physical, psychological and psychological changes. This study aims to determine the relationship between peer attachment and social competence in adolescent Mts. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method with two research scales, namely: the peer-to-peer attachment scale and the social competence scale. The scale used in this study is a scale compiled and has been used by previous studies. For the social competence scale using the Social Competence scale, while for the peer attachment scale the researcher used the Peer Attachment scale. This research was conducted at Mts Al-Qodir and Mts Al-Mahali with a total sample of 140 people. Quantitative analysis in this study uses Spearman's Rho correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between peer attachment and social competence (p = 0.000) with an effectiveness contribution of 15.8%.
