- Muhammad Husain Al Tabataba'i is one of the contemporary Qur'anic exegetes among the syi'ites. His monumental work in exegetics is al Mizan fi tafsir al Qur'an. This book has been pointed out and discussed by many other scholars, whether Muslim or not. By the way of this book, he tries to criticize his own theological schools i.e. Syi'ah and Sunni. In some places he quates"Sunni Hadis" to support his exegesis. However, this book is still shows his tendency as a Syi'i. This article elaborates this exegetical work and the exegete by referring to some examples in the book
