  • Librarian professional ethics is a written rule about ethics and attitudes that must be done by librarians, so that each librarian must understand and carry out these ethics when carrying out their duties. The UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library is one of the Islamic Universities which should also be able to carry out ethics in accordance with the Islamic view. This study aims to determine the Implementation of the Librarian Professional Code of Ethics in the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in the Islamic Perspective. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted by researchers to five informants who were Sunan Kalijaga UIN Librarians in Yogyakarta. Informants are librarians who represent the position of librarians, including young and middle librarians. The results showed that the implementation of the librarian profession's code of ethics in the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta was carried out by carrying out the basic attitudes of librarians namely; 1) Librarian services in accordance with expectations, 2) Always improve self competency, 3) Do not mix personal matters with work, 4) Work with professionals, 5) Do not abuse their position, and 6) Serve visitors politely and wisely. In addition, the Library Librarian of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta also maintains good relations with the library, among fellow librarians, libraries, professional organizations and the community. While in the Islamic perspective, they practice three basic attitudes namely; 1) Be fair in serving users by not discriminating, 2) Responsibility with all tasks charged, and 3) Trust in working and practicing knowledge.
