- This graduating paper aims at examining teenage life by portraying their struggle to be accepted in their peer group through their practices of machismo. To understand machismo, the researcher applied the theory of Hypermasculinity. The practices of machismo in the teenage life is critical because it is the initial stage where teenage recreate and struggle for their focus of masculinity. This research aims to describe the practices of Hypermasculinity by main characters. In analyzing the data, this research uses descriptive qualitative method. As the result, the researcher finds the practices done by the main characters to be categorized as Hypermasculinity. Those are drinking alcohol, party, drug, violence, and sexual behavior.
