- This study aimed at finding out teaching strategies used by English teachers in e-learning, and the similarities and differences of strategies used by English teachers in English E-learning at SMPN 18 Semarang and SMPN 16 Semarang. By using research a qualitative descriptive design the study, used observation and interview to collect the data. The result of the study shows that the strategy used by the English teacher is undifferentiated instruction. The teachers use several strategies to teach English e-learning, such as discussion, and discovery-based learning. Then the similarity in using media of both schools is supporting the learning process using e-learning. The media used are Google classroom, Zoom Meeting or Google meeting, and WhatsApp group. The difference between the two schools is the teachers used different strategies because the material taught is different. Teaching strategies will be appropriate if the teacher uses a variety of teaching methods and materials to take into account differences in learning styles, types and places of learning, and time. In teaching process, the teachers should find the suitable approach, method, and strategy to teach the students in order to give effetive learning.
