- The increase in divorce cases in the Slawi Religious Court in 2018 was among the highest in Central Java Province, where the figure reached 3,545 from various cases, the highest contributor was divorce caused by 1,434 leaving one party, then the case because 1,389 economic factors, then caused disputes and 592 disputes, 44 domestic violence cases, divorce because 49 drunks and gamblers, 18 cases of polygamy, forced marriage 18, and apostasy 1. Interestingly, thousands of divorces are dominated by divorce caused by leaving one party / running away, presumably various symptoms- social symptoms underlying the high divorce rate. Departing from the high divorce rate because it leaves one of the parties, the researcher is interested in knowing the underlying symptoms. To answer this question, this study uses a socio-legal approach. This type of research is descriptive analytic field research. The source of this research data is based on divorce data from the Slawi Religious Court, as well as the results of interviews with PA judges, and divorce actors and related parties. The research focused on the location of Lebaksiu Subdistrict, Tegal Regency. Based on the results of these studies indicate there are various social symptoms that lie behind it, it is a trigger for someone to leave one of the parties / run away in Lebaksiu District, Tegal Regency, allegedly as the cause of the high divorce rate is; 1, there is no match / constant fight, 2. Economic symptoms are not healthy, 3. there is a third party (cheating).
