Convergence services consisting of video, audio and data should be supported by the network reliability in serving a variety of services. To support service convergence 3rd Generation PartnershipProject (3GPP) is one of the standards body that developed the mobile network 2G and 3G technologies have established a network of Long Term Evolution (LTE) as the next-generation cellular networks. With the presence of a wide range of services including multimedia service that has the characteristics of a large size and high sensitivity service, making LTE networks require packet scheduling mechanism, especially in the downlink direction, which generally have a large density of traffic. With the size of the packet queue tends to increase, sensitivity to user channels also should be noted that a large package delivered well received by user. This case will reduce the possibility of packet loss. Therefore, it takes a packet scheduling mechanism that takes into account the quality of the user channel. Two of the packet scheduling algorithms that take into account the quality of the user channel scheduling metric calculation are Proportional Fair (PF) and the Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (MLWDF). In this thesis research in the performance comparison in terms of both algorithms guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS) of delay, packet loss ratio, throughput and fairness index using LTE-Sim simulator. Simulation results show that the change in the number of user scenarios generally MLWDF algorithm provides better performance than the PF. However, PF can provide a higher ratio of fairness when traffic load began to increase. In the scenario of a change of pace, overall MLWDF algorithms provide better performance than PF algorithm.Keyword: Scheduling, PF algorithm, MLWDF algorithm, LTE, QoS
