- Background Hirschsprung�s disease (HD) is a congenital abnormality in the colon that is characterized by the absence of parasympathetic ganglion cells in the plexus submukos a Meissneri and myenterikus Auerbach plexus. Diagnosis of HD is established as early as possible given the variety of life-threatening complication. Abdominal Plain Foto (FPA) any radiological examination that is used for early diagnosis of HD in addition to fotos Barium Enema (FEB). FEB requires contrast agents and radiological equipment that is not simple. FPA a examination is easy and less invasive than other support, need to be assessed accuracy of the FEB, so that a general practitioner, surgeons first child should be able to detect early HD. Purpose This study aims to assess the accuracy of the FPA compared with FEB to diagnose HD. Method M etode Crossectional study research using the design of diagnostic tests. The subject of this study were 38 pediatric patients with a diagnosis of HD who had surgery. Assessed the accuracy of FPA and the FEB to diagnose HD Result The analysis found that the FPA has a sensitivity of 82% while the specificity is only 10%. With Positive Predictive Value (PPV) 72% and Negative Predictive Value (NPV) 17%. Likelihood Ratio Positive (LRP) and Likelihood Ratio Negative 0.91 (LRN) 1.79. Conclusion Plain foto abdomen has a lower accuracy for the diagnosis of Hirschsprung�s disease with a sensitivity value (8 2%: 86%). However, with the difference of 4% Plain Abd Fotos omen Pictures Enema Barium can replace if it does not get the equipment for Barium Enema Fotos
