  • The purpose of this thesis is to design a control 12 Volt unidirectional voltage regulator using atmega 8535 microcontroller with input changes from 14V to 20V dc. IGBT is an active component that is used to drive the current so that the output currents up to 10 Ampere and stable output voltage 12 volt line with the input of the microcontroller atmega 8535. IGBT works if the input (Gate) were given pulse ON or OFF(logic 0 or 1), the pulse is a PWM (Puls Wave Modulation) which can be generated using a microcontroller ATMega 8535. By adjusting the ON time (t) or the Duty Cycle of PWM can increase or decrease the output voltage of the IGBT. The greater the duty cycle the output voltage gets smaller. Observations showed that the design of a voltage stabilizer to function properly, because the input varies from 14 Volt to 20 Volt output is 11.5 Volt to 12.5Volt
