- Since the website was found, the development of communication technology especially internet as a new form of new media cannot be avoided. The development of the internet has a big impact toward the values of live. Public relation that used to work convensionally is required to use by internet. The using of internet as a media of public relation is known as electronic public relations or cyber PR. While in government, it is known as electronic governance (e-gov). E-gov is a government strategy to create a good governance by using website. Every goverment institution, central and regional government, is obligated to have website or its own portal. So that, www.sumbarprov.go.id was chosen as a website of West Sumatera government that is managed by the government public relation directly since 2008. Placing, helping, and creating good governance are the first mission of planning strategy of public relation firm and protocol of West Sumatera . Thus, this research is aimed to see the using of government website by government public relation in order to get good governance in West Sumatera. The result of this research is the government public relation of West Sumatera has a problem relates to the workers. They are unable to operate the information through online media yet. The using of West Sumatera website is still in the process of creating a good governance. The coorporation between government, society and private should be increased in order to get a good governance. The government public relation should be responsible to organize it in order to get the purpose in creating the good governance.
