- Corporate Social Repsonsibility (CSR) is an obligation for company to do, based on Law of the Republic Indonesia, number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, and number 25 of 2007 concerning investments. The increasing of attention for the quality of environment and social, influences business activities. This issue encourages the company to have social responsibilities. The aims of this research are to know the implementation of CSR, based on Law of Republic Indonesia number 40 of 2007 and number 25 of 2007, and elements which affecting the CSR. The data in this research were analysed qualitatively. Both, primary data and secondary data were obtained by interview, observation, and field study. The data were analyzed, so that will get result about the implementation of CSR. The result which can be conclude from this research is CSR by PT NNT was implemented by doing social development of many aspects, such as education, infrastucture, health, business development, agriculture, and fishery. The obstacles of CSR are distrust and misperception of people around, which appear because of rumour about contamination by PT NNT operations.
