- This study aims to determine the reasons and purpose of the adoption of daughter by the Moor ethnic community, and to review the rights of adopted daughter in the implementation of inheritance according to the Moor ethnic. Research on Adopted Daughter Rights in Implementation of Inheritance of Moor Ethnic community In Nabire Papua province, is sociological juridical research. This research is based on field research, which is equipped with library research. The data used are secondary data and primary data. Primary data obtained through interviews while secondary data obtained by literature study. 14 (fourteen) of respondents selected from a family who adopted a daughter and the biological parents of adopted children in four villages namely Kama village, Weinami village, Tibai Village, and Siriwo Village, who subsequently obtained data were analyzed with descriptive methods of juridical analytical. Results showed that, the adoption of daughter performed after approval between biological parents and adoptive parents, ages of children adopted under the age of 5 (five) years so that adopted children do not know who their biological parents. Adoption through a ceremony called the "Rutu Arumio". Reason for the adoption because of compassion for the adopted child, or the child is an orphan, there is also society that adopted daughters as only have boys, while the purpose of adoption is for the welfare of adopted children. Sanctions for parties who notify the child's origins in the form of compensation to be agreed with the adoptive parents. Adoption of a girl will disconnect relationship with biological parents, so that the implementation of the inheritance of adopted daughters by a family will only inherit from his adoptive parents. Heritage received by daughter less than boys because the Moor ethnic adopts patrilineality kinship system, where the boys continue the lineage and in the implementation of inheritance.
