  • This research aimed to know whether teacher personality and teacher work commitment can predict classroom management. The regression analysis was used to test the interaction between personality, work commitment and teacher classroom management. The subjects of this research were teachers at private school (senior high school) in Yogyakarta city with the criteria: the teachers who are teaching at private senior high school in Yogyakarta and they have experience for five years minimal. The eighty teachers participated as sample of research were from three private schools in Yogyakarta. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling. The instrument which was used namely personality scale of big five personality factors, work commitment scale, classroom management scale.. The research result concluded that personality and teacher work commitment could become significant predictor toward classroom management. Based on the test for mayor hypothesis, it could be concluded that personality and work commitment constitutes predictor for classroom management, thus, all of factors in big five personality shown significant result to become predictor for classroom management. Other things which were found in testing second minor hypothesis, apparently, work commitment could not predict classroom management.
