- The implementation of the public health care service in the era of decentralization is to organize health services that are effective and efficient, equitable and quality, affordable and meet the community needs in their working area. The aim of this study is to know the profile and evaluate the aspects of planning, demand and acceptance of drugs and also to know the level of suitability between planning and realization of the drugs acceptance in inpatient public health care services in District of Sleman on 2008-2010. Descriptive analytical approach with retrospective and concurrent data collection was used as design of this study. Data used in this study are data derived from the related documents (secondary data) and data from interviews and observations (primary data). Respondents were recruited purposively to be interviewed about the drug management in public health care service where they work. The results showed that all of public health care services in this study using the consumption method of doing the planning needs of drug
