- In the region of teak wood crafts producing in the village Jatimulyo Dlingo Bantul and in a small industrial area of bamboo petung craft in hamlet district Cebongan Mlati Sleman. Of industrial activity in both regions produce waste in the form of particles, shavings and wood chips, that has not maximally utilized and even thrown away. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of particle composition particles teak wood waste with bamboo petung waste (100:0, 75:25, 50:50 and 0%: 100%) and the amount of urea formaldehyde adhesive 5%, 7.5% and 10 % of the physical and mechanical properties of particle board. `The study used a factorial method that consists of two factors. The first factor has four levels of treatment that is grade teak wood particle mixtures: bamboo petung, 100:0% (B1), 75:25% (B2), 50:50% (B3) and 0:100% (B4). The second factor has three levels of treatment that is grade adhesive 5% (P1), 7.5% (P2) and 10% (P3), which are arranged in completely randomized design (CRD) and repeated three times. The physical properties were tested, namely the density, moisture content, water absorption, development of thick, while the mechanical properties were tested perpendicular to the tensile strength / internal bonding (IB), modulus of elasticity (MOE) and modulus of rupture (MOR). The results obtained show that the more the composition of the mixture of teak wood particles and the greater number of adhesive, the quality of the mechanical draft board physical properties of particles, the better. The best properties are generally owned by the composition of the mixture of particle board with teak wood: bamboo petung 100:0% with levels of 10% (B1P3). Density of 0.7937 g/cm3, water content 9.457%, water absorption of 27.770%, heavy development 6.076%, internal bonding 2.816 kg/cm2, modulus of rupture 98.685 kg/cm2, modulus of elasticity 6425 kg/cm2.
