  • Background: The Sidoarjo District Hospital is one of the governmentowned hospitals that have nursing degree staff much higher caompare with other hospital . From the data for the last three years, there are increasing number of complaints about patient satisfaction in nursing care. In accordance with Act No 36 in 2009 about Health and Act No 44 about hospital, the hospital is hint always to improve the quality of its services. This is all because of strong public demand for improve quality of service especially quality of nursing care, so that it will bring patient satisfaction and loyalty to the hospital. Study Objectives: To determine patient satisfaction of nursing care in inpatient ward Sidoarjo General District Hospital. Methods: This study was a qualitative descriptive using case study design. Research subjects were patients, nurses and head nurse. Collecting data with questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observation.
