- This research analyzed morphophonemic changes on affixation in English. The goals of this research are describing kinds of morphophonemic changes on affixation in English, describing types of morphophonemic changes on affixation in English and describing rules of morphophonemic changes on affixation in English. To conduct this research, the researcher used descriptive qualitative research method. The Data of this research are words which consist of certain affixes such as �(ic(a(i(t(ion), -ity, -y, -ance /-ence, un-, im-, in-, il-, ir-, -ous, - ical, -able/-ible, -al, -ive, -ic, dan -ful, re-, un-, -(i)fy, -ize, -ed, -s and �ate. All those words are taken from Cambridge Advanced Learner�s Dictionary: Third Edition which published on 2008 and are writen in phonemic transcription. In data collection, this research used observing method followed by note which used phoneme trancription. And in data analysis, this research used distrubute method followed by discribing smallest element of word to know kinds of morphophonemic changes on affixation in English, to know types of morphophonemic changes on affixation in English and to know rules of morphophonemic changes on affixation in English. From this research, there are four morphophonemic processes those are phoneme change, phoneme-addition, phoneme-deletion, and stress shift, which consist of more or less than 111 kinds of morphophonemic changes, 15 types of morphophonemic changes, and 115 rules of morphophonemic changes.
