- The purpose of this research is to set the strategic action for PT. ANZ Panin Bank in developing and expanding the retail banking business. This research will study about the backgound of PT. ANZ Panin Bank in setting up the target for developing retail banking market, formulate the research method for the target feasibility study to formulate the strategic action for PT. ANZ Panin Bank in developing and expanding retail banking business and to build the best strategy that can be implemented for PT. ANZ Panin Bank to achieve the target. This research conducted in PT. ANZ Panin Bank which use research methodology: field research/interview and library research. Interviewed was conducted to 4 top management from retail banking department. The process flow in this research consist of 3 (three) phases: a) Input Phase, which formulate 3 (three) matrix, External Factor Evaluation (EFE), Key success factor Internal Factor Evaluation (EFI), b) Matching Phase, following the result from Input Phase, using SWOT, external and internal matrix dan Grand Strategy, c) Decision Phase: using the matrix from point a & b can be formulated the action strategy using Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix. Following the research for action strategy which used 3 phases of analysis above, as the result will be market penetration strategy and market expansion strategy. PT. ANZ Panin Bank market penetration strategy will be implemented by searching other undeveloped potential market. The detail process which will be taken by PT. ANZ Panin Bank are expand bank operational offices, strenghten the bank capability, provide the customer with the best high end technology and services, provide the best retail banking products which given more value and profitability to customers. And for the expanding retail banking market strategy are getting the potential customers as new customers for the bank by offering additional and value added savings and other products, and bank should have good and stable financial condition.
