- To manange its hydrocarbon resources the government of Indonesia issues contracts with numbers of oil companies, called Production Sharing Contract. The implementation of these contracts were managed dan supervised by BPMIGAS who is responsible to ensure the effectiveness to maximize the benefit for the nation of Indonesia. Oil & gas companies activities shoud be approved by BPMIGAS prior execution. Business process of project approval in Work Program & Budget (WP&B) and Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) are tools of BPMIGAS in manage and supervise oil & gas companies activities. Potential operational risk in BPMIGAS is internal process failure to implement business process of project approval which could delay project execution. This research will develop new business process of project approval to reduce operational risk in BPMIGAS.
