- Every company needs a measuring tool for assessing the performance of its business units. One of the optimal methods that can be used to measure performance is by using the Balanced Scorecard. Various types of industries have used this method, including in oil and gas industry (Thompson, Strickland, and Gamble: 2008). PT. Odira Energy Persada, which is one of Indonesia's companies operating in oil and gas business area, currently operates Tambun LPG plant with not having a strategy map and a measurement tools that can gauge the success of the plant�s performance. This research was conducted to respond to the needs of the strategy map and measuring tools to measure the performance of the Odira�s LPG Plant. This study begins by reviewing the vision and mission of the company, followed by positioning analizing in LPG business environment. From the analysis result, it was found that Odira�s position is in star category. By knowing the position of Odira�s LPG plant in its business environment, the next step is to create a strategy map based on four perspectives of Balanced Scorecard, then continued into the determination of performance measurement indicators, which eventually can be used as a reference for assessing the performance of Odira�s LPG plant.
