- Background. MOW or tubal ligation is one of the gynecological procedure that has become one of sterilization methode for a woman which the fallopian tube is ligated by a surgical procedure. MOW can be performed under general anesthesia (total intravenous anesthesia) with combination of a local anesthetic infiltration at the incised skin. There is a problem in the availability of the anesthetic drugs and the fund reduction from BKKBN and monitoring devices for doing this procedure that become a challange for anesthesiologist. Objective. To compare the sedation-analgesia level, cardiorespiration stability and recovery profile between the combination of diazepam (0,1 mg/kgBB IV)- pethidine (2,0 mg/kgBB IV) and the combination of diazepam (0,1 mg/kgBB IV)- ketamine (0,3 mg/kgBB IV). Subjects were patients undergone elective MOW under general anesthesia in Kontap Instalation Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta. Methode. After approval from the ethic committee, 72 patients had been divided into 2 groups, group A (general anesthesia with combination diazepam-pethidine) and group B (general anesthesia with combination diazepam-ketamine ). Result. Group Diazepam-Pethidine was compared to group Diazepam-Ketamine : level of sedation with Ramsay score 4-6 ( 75 % vs 64 %
