- The competition of expanding the market share can not be separated from positioningthe company to provide products as much as the demand (demand meets supply).A shortageis happened when the consumers demand is greater than the supply. It will encouragecostumers switching to another products or brands. On the other hand, if the supply is greater than costumers demand, it will lead the inventory and assets of the company greater. This situation makes the company run badly, because it can decrease the level of customer�s satisfaction of a product and the retailer-supplier profits. To deal with the customer dissatisfaction, supplier collaborates and share information with retailers in the final costumer demand and retailer builds inter-retailer cooperation for the costumer if the HP stock were run out as the retailer urgently need it. This activity is done in order to increase the supply chain performance. Thisstudy evaluated the impacts of the mechanism of allocation and collaboration of the supplier-retailer demand to the performance of supply chain.The Evaluation was especially done for the inter-retailer cooperation on HP products.The samples of this study was mobile phone retailers in Yogyakarta. The results of this study indicated that the factors of inter retailer cooperation influence the inventory of performance.
