  • Laundry waste is one of the side effects of the industrial laundry growth. Laundry waste contains chemical compounds which, if not processed in advance will cause environmental pollution. TSS and phosphate are pollutants which should be removed from laundry waste. Slake lime can be used to remove TSS and phosphate from laundry waste. The objectives of this study are to determine the best dosage, pH, mixing time, and detention time of slake lime to remove TSS and phosphate from laundry waste. The samples were taken from eight locations in the district Mlati, Sleman regency. They are known for dumping their waste to the river or canal.
