  • This study aims to analyze the pattern and structure of regional economic growth, per capita GRDP convergence and the factors that influence the growth rate of per capita GRDP among counties/cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province, 2003-2009 period. The method used is the typology, the coefficient of variation and panel data regression. Variable used in this research are per capita GRDP, population growth, investment, government spending, inflation, and life expectancy and education. The results showed that a region including the category of advanced but depressed regions, four regions, including the category of fast growing area, and four regions, including the category of relatively backward regions. Was also found that the occurrence of sigma convergence and beta convergence. Absolute beta convergence and conditional beta convergence occurs at 0.23 and 3.72 percent per year. The Halflife convergence, i.e time takes to eliminate half of this gap, is for 19 years. Another result is the variable of population growth, investment, inflation rate and life expectancy affect the growth rate of GRDP per capita counties/cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province.
