- Background: The development of the hospital so rapidly at this time due to the advancement of science and technology in medical and diagnostic support equipment so that health care provided to patients can be more effective and efficient. Use of information technology in the form of a hospital information system is one tool to assist management in providing effective and efficient service and assist in decision making. One of the efforts undertaken to avoid failure in the use of hospital information system that is making a plan of management information systems for organizations that will use it also in the hospital. Planning management information system is needed to provide direction or guide to use of hospital information systems for today and in the future. Hospital Dr. M Haulussy in its mission has been declared the implementation of integrated information systems. The availability of planning of management information system in the context of the hospital strategic plan Dr. M. Haulusssy behind this research. Objectives: This study is to develop management information systems planning in the context of the hospital strategic plan Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon, which is based on the condition of information systems and information technology that is in the hospital today and the commitment of the stakeholders in supporting the use of management information systems, which will be contained in the plan of information systems strategy, information management and information technology. Methods: Qualitative research using case studies with the study design. Analysis conditions of the current hospital management information system and stakeholders made a commitment to planning management information systems in the context of hospital strategic plan Dr. M. Haulussy. Research sites in Dr. M. Haulussy hospital and the subject of this study is the internal and external stakeholders Dr. M. Haulussy hospital. Result: In Hospital strategic planning. Dr M. Haulussy years 2009-2013 one of its mission of implementation of hospital management information system. Condition of existing information systems is still needed additional human resources as a manager, as well as improving human resources through education and training, the addition of the number of computers and software that can help the process work. Data from one part to another part has not been the same, computer networks and the Internet has not been installed on all units, the absence of a special section that manages the hospital management information system, a regulation requiring hospitals to use information system, the support of internal stakeholders in the financing and support of cooperation with third parties. Conclusion: Vision Hospital Management Information System is "Realization of a hospital management information system that produces accurate information, timely and relevant, leading independent hospitals', Mission:" Creating a hospital management information system that produces accurate information, timely and relevant to be supported by qualified human resources and appropriate quantity, availability of financing budget, organizational management, the gradual application of information systems, restructuring of procedures, improvement of cooperation with related units and standardization of system devices " Information systems strategy, information management and information technology in management information systems planning in the context of the hospital strategic plan Dr. M. Haulussy namely: human resources strategy with 4 programs
