- Background: Impaired growth and development can occur since early childhood. The situation is impacting on the poor quality of the nation's / child's future. Nutritious food is a necessity in the process of child growth and development, especially in brain growth. The results of a preliminary study at Lendah II health center presented the prevalence of malnutrition and severe malnutrition by 9.59% and 0.57%, respectively. The number of infants who receive complementary feeding in addition to breastfeeding (MP-ASI) in Kulonprogo District Health Office is 28.6% (59 infants). The result of SDIDTK is 56.24% (90% in coverage). One of the causes of developmental disorders is the lack of nutritious food intake that affects brain growth and development so that this condition can interfere with infant development. Objective: To determine the amount of intake of MP-ASI with the development of infants aged 6-11 months in the working area of Lendah II Health Center of Kulonprogo District, Yogyakarta. Methods: This was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in the working area of Lendah II Health Center. In this study, the variables used included the independent variable which was the pattern of MP-ASI seen from the amount of nutrient intake in the provision of MP-ASI and the dependent variable which was the development of infants aged 6-11 months. The sample in the study was amounted to 93 infants aged 6-11 months. The analysis performed included bivariable, univariable, and multivariable. Analysis statistical tests used were correlation test and multiple regression. Results: The bivariable analysis showed a significant association between intake of energi, protein, iron (Fe) and zink (Zn) and the development of infants aged 6-11 months respectively p 0.25, but the intake of vitamin A had no significant relationship with the development of infants aged 6-11 months with a value of p = 0.75 (p> 0.25). Conclusion: Intake of energi, protein, iron and zink in complementary feeding had a significant association with the development of infants aged 6-11 months, while for the intake of vitamin A in the complementary feeding there was no significant association with the development.
