  • Illumination is generated by lamp in the Tunggul Wulung Airport, not meet with the lighting standard of terminal. This is impacting on reducing the level of comfort and service to passengers. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the need of the terminal area, providing illumination, lighting optimization, the electric energy consumption and the difference efficiency. The study was conducted by collecting and processing the data such as area of the room, lighting specifications, and room condition at terminal. The method used to calculate the area of passenger terminal in 2020 is JICA method. Meanwhile illumination in the terminal space is calculated using utilization factor method. The result of the analysis indicate that the need of terminal area in 2020 by 395 m 2 . The number of illumination at check in is at 477 lux, 727 lux is at the departure hall, 304 lux is at arrival hall, 14 lux is at Airline Counter, 8 lux is at canteen, 96 lux is at information room, 96 lux is at security room, 96 lux is at panel room, 96 lux is at quarantine room, 21 lux is at departure toilet rooms, 19 lux is at toilets arrival, 545 lux is at Hall room, 12 lux is at meeting rooms. After optimizing the illumination in check-in room is 225 lux, 226 lux is at the departure hall, 268 lux is at arrival hall, 183 lux is at Airline Counter, of 102 lux is at cafeteria room, 219 lux is at information room, 219 lux is at security room, 219 lux is at panel room, 219 lux is at quarantine room, 126 lux is at departure toilet room, 118 lux is at toilet arrival, 244 lux is at hall room, 169 lux is at meeting room. The electricity consumption is 3011,8 kWh, and after optimization is 2388,1 kWh. The difference efficiency is produced by 20,69%.
