E-mail:awang_zaza@yahoo.com, risuhadi@yahoo.com, er_pjr@yahoo.com Diterima 17 April 2012, disetujui 20 Juli 2012 ABSTRACT Natural resource management in the national park is not just simply rely on the technical approach, but also how to formulate and prepare policies that are more integrated (comprehensive), interdisciplinary, and based on the ability of local resources by involving all stakeholders concerned over these natural resources. This Studyaimstoobtaindataandexplanationsconcerningtheopportunitytoaccommodatethe interest of society to rejuvenate the candlenut in the Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park (TN Babul) in accordance with applicaticable regulations. The research was carried out in Maros Regency in TN Babul area, Province of South Sulawesi. The data were collected through the study of documentation and interviews with a number of key informants. Data were analyzed with techniques of.analysis ofcontent and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that aspiration to rejuvenate candlenut in TN Babul difficult accommodated. This is Caused due to an inconsistent among government regulations (UU No5/1990,PP No.28/2011 and Permenhut No. P. 56/2006). The revised government regulation is needed so that it can be implemented on a variety oj different local conditions.
