- <p>In term of development, women often contribute significant role. As potential resource,<br /> their dynamic action will be further close to the goals of development. Our country holds the big project which entirely supported by its people, named women empowerment. Women's participation could be seen through the level of their labour force. The small home industry where they mostly belong to work in both village and town reflects their active participation. One of those capable industries are the mushroom cultivating and processing. This study purpose to know how women share their time for economic and household activities, their roles in their economic household, household activities also to take a look its effect on their work and family satisfaction. This study was conducted at Hargobinagun village, kecamatan Pakem, kabupaten Sleman. Data collected by interviewIng 30 women-workers of mushroom home industries. The result of this study show that most respondents said that they worked because their husbands' income was insufficient to fulfil the families daily needs. Regarding these women's contribution to family income, the research consider that it was of real importance and greatly benefited all family members in fulfilling their daily needs. Their role as joint bread winners caused a big redistribution in the division of housework and other daily chores amongst all family members. It was found that these women because responsible for the assigning and ordering of housework whereas husband tended to take over the supervision of their children's education-homework, etc. the work-family conflict affects their work and family satisfaction.</p>
