- <p>The background of research was the scarcity of information on the effect of VA-mycorrhiza<br /> inoculation on plant growth in terms of its resistance to water stress. The objectIves of the research were<br /> to obserVe I) the effect ofVA-mycorrhiza on the heIght and diameter growth of teak seedlings and 2) the<br /> effect of mycorrhiza on the resistance of teak seedlings 10 water stress.<br /> One hundreds seedlings of teak were grown in the nursery and then moved into polybags. The<br /> medium for inoculated seedlings was a mixture of sterile and fertile soils from teak stand, whereas uninoculated<br /> seedlings control had only sterile soil. The seedlings were then maintained for 3 months. After<br /> then, water stress treatment was done by watering the 20 seedlings"
