- The aims of this study are to identify animal protein source consumption pattern and its priority preference among household in rural and urban. The available data from 2005 national household expenditure survey (SUSENAS) were used to analyse consumption pattern. Correlation and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis method were employed in this study to analyse consumption pattern of meat and egg products among hosuhold in Yogyakarta Province and the priority consumption preference analysis, respectively. The correlation analysis result that chicken meat and egg have highly significant correlation to household income among three income stages in both area, except egg product in high income class. AHP analysis showed that chicken meat has first rank preference, compare to beef, among households due to its affordable price.
