- The aim of this study was exploited the coastal area for forages cultivationdevelopment in supporting ranch development. This study consisted by three steps. Research I. Response Tolerance of grasses to Salinity, using completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial arrange 5x4 and 3 replications. The first factor : king (Pennisetum hybrid), elephant (Pennisetum purpureum), guinea (Panicum maximum ), setaria (Setaria sphacelata) and star grass (Cynodon plectostachyus) and the second factor were artificial salty soil, condition using different NaCI concentration were 0, 100, 200, and 300 mM. Research II consisted by two experiment, due to application of manure, gypsum and various source of nitrogen on saline soiL Experiment conducted use completelyrandomized design (CRD) following factorial design 2x4x3, with 3 replications.First factor was manure application consist of two treatment, namely without manure and with addition 20 ton/ha of manure, Second factor was gypsum level
