  • Thermal camera used to acquire breast thermal images is furnished with a specific software InsideIR 3.11. However, to be applied for diagnosis, particularly for detecting breast cancer progression, an additional programs should be developed accordingly based on image processings. The aim of research is make tools to distinguish the normal, early cancer, and advanced cancer thermograms. The study was carried out in two phases, firstly the data collections and standard image processing, and secondly, through the basic principle of information theory and geometric optimization procedures in a multidimensional feature space. The results were represented in the simplest representation. Regression methods, Artificial Neural Network Learning Vector Quantification, and Principal Component Analysis were resorted to separate the type of thermograms. Furthermore classifications using LVQ-ANN method were able to provide accuracy in range 91.11% to 97.8%, and Principal Component Analysis a high degree of accuracy 99%.The overall breast thermograms processings are able to separate those indicating normal as well as early and advance breast cancers.
