- Target of this research is to get information of Kowad�s role in supporting Kodam XVI/Pattimura�s main duty implementation. This research also dedicated to know the implication of Kowad�s role in supporting Kodam XVI/Pattimura�s main duty to the defense area. This research use descriptive method, for the purpose of description kowad�s duty, potency and obstacle in supporting Kodam XVI/Pattimura�s main duty implementation. This descriptive method use technique analysis data qualitative through observation, interview and book study. Through method, this research reply two formula of problems which have been raised by above. Result of research give answer that Kowad as tip of lance command territorial residing in forefront in supporting Kodam XVI/Pattimura�s main duty implementation as a part of TNI AD and Kodam XVI/Pattimura together with the other branchs in Angkatan Darat participate to national defense with their skill and ability for duty except war duty, that conform with woman�s nature and character, same level with Indonesian woman emancipation. Kowad has a role supporting held ability, power and power title establishing, held territorial establishing to set up the area defense Kodam XVI/Pattimura and keep the security in Maluku and North Maluku, to raise the Nation good fortune, maintain wholeness of Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia based on Pancasila and UUD 1945, and protect whole nation and Indonesian blood shed from threaten and disturbance to the nation wholeness, without neglect the her value, nature and prestige as a woman. From the analysis of reinforced in the interview, the role of performance Kowad implications for defending the region, namely the Community Association as a criterion kokohnya Persistence, and Empowerment Realization of Territorial Development Area as a criterion robustness of Defense, Welfare and security as a dualistic effect Holarki ductility and toughness. From the discussion of the research results can be concluded that the role Kowad Kodam XVI / Pattimura is an effective and positive implications of defense factors in the Regional Military Region XVI / Pattimura.
