- Background: ovarian stimulation is important process in IVF due to raising up the pregnancy rate and the oocyte count. The antagonist GnRH give new side of stimulation because it has no flare up effect, short time and less side effect. So the clomifen citrate, especially it is cheaper. And when it combine with rFSH (simple protocol) which give more positive effect on uterus. But it still remain unclear about the comparation between two protocols in oocyte maturation. Objective: to compare the oocyte maturation between antagonist GnRH short protocol and simple protocol. Study design: cohort retrospective Results: the total subject was 60. Each protocol include 30 subjects. There is no difference in characteristic data between two groups in age, basal FSH, LH and E2, and also in cause of infertility. The mean of total oocytes retrieved between antagonist GnRH protocol vs simple protocol was statistically different (8,37±4,63 vs 5,10±3,69) with p=0,004 and the mean matured oocyte between antagonist GnRH protocol vs simple protocol was statistically difference (6,67±4,26 vs 4,17±3,31) with p=0,014. Conclusion: the oocyte maturation of antagonist GnRH protocol was better than the simple protocol.
