and can reduce human resources and is one of disease that requires a large
cost to overcome them. The research was conducted to know the description of
the use of antidiabetic, the magnitude of the direct costs and quality of life of
outpatient with type 2 diabetes mellitus in RSUD Kabupaten Sukoharjo.
The research is conducted using Crosssectional Observational methods.
Data taken in 2 ways, concurrent and retrospective, using purposive sampling
technique. Research material used is the patient's medical record, results of
patient questionnaires, and details the cost to the patient. Subjects were
outpatient with type 2 diabetes mellitus in RSUD Kabupaten Sukoharjo, who
had received combined antidiabetic therapy of at least 3 months prior to the
measurement of quality of life. Study subjects totaled 105 patients. To
determine the quality of life based on the characteristics of the patients used an
independent test until t-test and Anova test, and to know the quality of life based
on a combination of antidiabetic used independent sample test t-test.
The result of research showed that the most combination of antidiabetic
that used in RSUD Kab. Sukoharjo is glibenclamide-metformin as many as 33
patients (31.4%), total cost of diabetes mellitus type 2 which cheapest is
glibenclamide-metformin, Rp 102.847,00 and the highest is insulin garglinakarbose-
glidiab, Rp 450.694,00 and patient characteristics such as age,
marital status, education and job influence the quality of life and there is no
defferences of quaality of life between patients with a combination of ADO to
